DVD to Portable Hard Drives
You can actually transfer the contents of your DVD to any portable hard drives to make sure they are backed up and safe from being corrupted, erased or lost. To transfer from DVD to hard drive, make sure to burn the DVD first to your PC. To do this, open the Live File system, then default the Windows program to copy DVD’s. From there, click on “burn files to data disc” in the dialog box that pops up. Next would be to type a name for the disc then click on “Next”. Open the folder that has the files burned and drag them to the empty disc folder. Next would be to click on “Start” then click on “My Documents”. You would need to highlight the file that came from the DVD. Lastly, click “copy this folder” under “file and folder tasks” found on the left-hand side. To copy the file to your portable hard drive, simply click copy.
