At CES 2010 about two years ago, LG announced the upcoming release of the Magic Motion remote. If you don’t remember it, it is basically a combination television remote and wii remote. It allows you to make selections on your TV based on specific movements rather than by pressing buttons.

Since then, they have made some tweaks like a more ergonomic design. It was originally slated for release in the first quarter of 2012. Well, guess what! We are here. I hope we will see if this remote is all that it is cracked up to be.

I think we can count on it being pretty cool since LG has had some pretty impressive innovations lately in other fields like the LG LFX31925ST in home appliances.

I’m just hoping that when I’m watching the latest episode of Modern Family that a flick of my remote won’t leave me stranded on another screen. Tragic.
